Overview

Nathan and I tied the knot on June 27, 2009! It was a beautiful wedding day and we really couldn't have asked for more! The reception was full of friends and family from all over the country; it was overwhelming but wonderful! 

After the wedding, we flew to Hawaii and spent a week honeymooning! 

We stayed on the Big Island as well as a few nights in Maui!

Nathan graduated with his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) in December 2009. He accepted a job offer from Orthman Manufacturing in Lexington, NE in late December and started on January 4, 2010. We made a quick move from Lincoln,NE to Kearney, NE after Christmas and enjoyed our upgrade from a one to a two bedroom apartment! 

On Christmas morning 2010, I took a home pregnancy test on a whim and it came back POSITIVE! Nathan and I were so excited! While awaiting our bundle of joy (boy or girl), we prayed that the Lord would lead us to our first house in His timing, whether that was before or after the baby came.

In June 2011, our prayers were answered and we purchased our first home!

On August 25, 2011, we welcomed Bailey Elizabeth Fries into our family and our hearts! We are excited to watch her grow and pray that she learn to love the Lord as her Savior one day!

After 11 weeks of maternity leave, I returned part time (2 days a week) at Collage Center in Kearney, NE. Nathan and I love our Kearney Cornerstone Berean Church family. We enjoy a weekly meeting with a Life Group (other couples in same stage of life as us). We also help out with high school youth group every Wednesday night! At least once or twice a month we travel back to my parents' house to visit and also spend time with Nathan's family!

On May 14, 2012, we found out we are expecting another little blessing in January 2013! We are very excited about adding another little one to our family! I'll do that math for you, the kiddos will be exactly 17 months apart...okay, so we are a little crazy! :) We are truly blessed! The pregnancy is going very well so far and Bailey has no idea how this is going to change her life but I'm sure she will be fine!

August 25, 2012: BAILEY TURNED ONE! We had a wonderful day celebrating our little princess and her first year of life! Love you, Bailey!

We added Roman Isaac Fries to our family on January 15, 2013! Bailey adjusted well to her new role as big sister! Roman is such a blessing and we thank God for his safe arrival! I was able to deliver him naturally with a midwife which was another blessing! (Photo credit: Blue House Fotos)

August 2013: BAILEY TURNS TWO! We had a fun "My Little Sunshine" birthday party to celebrate Bailey's second year of life! We were also blessed to be able to dedicate Roman to the Lord on the same day as her party! Thank you to everyone that helped us celebrate our children's lives!

Nathan still works as a design engineer at Orthman Manufactoring. Amanda resigned from her position at Collage Center in June 2013 and now works part-time at Suite Child.
